Most of us give little thought to the fact that we can turn to and turn on any number of faucets in our home to get clean water. We have indoor faucets and outdoor faucets. We have faucets in our bathrooms and in our kitchens. We have faucets in our showers...even our toilets are faucet-fed and are filled and refilled with clean water!
Water is so readily available to us that we give little thought to how easy it flows into our homes and through our faucets.
It is not like that everywhere! In our world millions upon millions of people have access to neither faucets nor clean water. Millions of people drink water that is mixed with their sewage. They drink the water in which their animals stand. They drink the water that gathers in puddles...water which is often filled with bacteria and disease-causing microbes.
The "4:4 No More!" Faucet Challenge is a way for you to express gratitude for such ready access to clean water.
All we ask you to do is take a "Faucet Inventory." Take a moment and count the number of faucets you have in your home- both inside and out (and yes...count the toilets!) and donate $1 per faucet to the "4:4 No More!" Faucet Challenge.
That's it...
Every single dollar you donate will go directly to providing fresh water to children who have no access to fresh water...children who may suffer water borne illnesses and even death.
You can help...It costs next to nothing
The "4:4 No More!" Faucet Challenge is an easy way to offer thanks for one of the most basic blessings of life!
